Taylor Momsen.
Or maybe it's more the stylists on the set of Gossip Girl. Either way they had the art of layering down pat.

More Black and Blue
Ready to pull on your shorts but the weather isn't quite ideal yet? Why not pull some tights on underneath? The outfit in this picture is perfect for this March/April mid-weather we've been having. Note the cute braid

Neutrals
Selena Gomez looks so serene golfing in her attire. It's completely simple and very underdone but oh so wonderfully put together. The light accessories and the shot with the breeze blowing makes me feel light at heart.
p.s. hair-tie accessory! Maybe she reads the blog :)

Scarves for Your Tresses
The scarf woven through this girl's braided hair is a major fashion "Do". Not only is it simple to produce (we all have scarves at home) but it instantaneously adds something unusual to any ensemble. I would recommend trying to look both with the scarf as it's own 'third' of hair and with the scarf mixed in with two separate 'thirds'.
Let's also not let head scarfs go unnoticed. This look is really chic and can keep your ears warm on those cold city days. Experimenting with over-sized earrings is optional.

Clash of the Items
The is such an inspired look from Taylor Swift's appearance in Glamour. The boyfriend shorts with the belt and casual sweatshirt look incredibly sweet with her thick gemmed necklace and bangle. Mixing these articles truly makes for a unique look.

Life and Styles of...
Olivia Palermo: An inspiration for all of us.
Vogue: China
She recycles her shoes and tops too. :)
Her items just tend to be a bit pricier than the rest of ours.
A New Trend
The most worn item in my closet is inevitably a hair band around my wrist. I can't go without it because you can't be a working girl with your hair in your face; so I just try to hide or, give up and wear it anyway. However, I was just reading an article that matched my problem perfectly and they brought up a good point: let's not deny it any longer and make it a trend. So let's do it, and wear our hair ties with pride.

Alice in Wonderland
As a kid I always loved the cartoon Disney movie of Alice in Wonderland. In fact, I'd always wish that I could go to Wonderland for so many reasons, and thanks to the new Tim Burton film I can add one more reason to that list: THE CLOTHES! The costumes in this movie are to die for! Especially the various dresses Alice wears as she grows larger and smaller. Costume designer, Colleen Atwood, who has worked on many films including Chicago really hit the mark on this one. With such a magical story, I can see how it may be hard to create magic not only in the scenery, but in the for front on the characters as well. The images do not do the dresses justice, I suggest seeing the movie in 3-D to really experience the costume art in this film.

Wellies
With all the rain we've been having wellies are a good investment and here is one girl that makes them look really chic. Who says you can't be comfortable (dry) and cute?
Note: Tights, under knee high socks, under boots

The Chanel Briefcase
Here is the Chanel Perspex Briefcase, though it is a bit odd, it is pretty clever to say the least. It has places for your glasses, ipod, lipstick, purse and other feminine items. My issue would be letting everyone see what you're carrying around. It's art nonetheless.

No Business Like Shoe Business
More shoes to die for; or at least not eat/pay rent for a few months. I see a reoccurring color theme these days. Buying a pair of shoes at this price is the same kind of adrenaline rush I can only imagine people can get from drugs. However, not only are you purchasing the opportunity to wear these on your feet and the reputation that potentially comes with it but each piece is art at it's finest. A combination of color, structure, and comfort working together to trigger people's emotions and confidence. What other type of art can make you actually look sexier?
From the top: Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino, Burberry Prorsum
The Back Necklace
Another trend that I think is underdone but very clever is the back necklace. I think that it is easy to do and looks notably sexy down a bare back. It emphasizes the line of the spine and I think there is something quite poetic to be said for that.

With Spring Comes Color
I couldn't keep these images to myself any longer. I felt too greedy. These ran in a Cosmo a few years ago, and I kept them stored because I loved all the items so much. Particularly the last image which includes the unique racerback top and sheer pleated skirt by Jean Paul Gaultier and Christian Louboutins on her feet.
