Country Road Winter Lookbook 2010

Here are two of the styles from the Country Road Winter 2010 Lookbook:

Acid Wash

Acid Wash is back, and with a vengeance, and this time, I like it. Although the pair I have aren't quite so destroyed I think they are an interesting twist to those articles we wear almost daily.  I'd stick by skinny or straight-leg options to make them look like the trend they've become. Also I like to wear them with booties, but the options are endless.

Really Thick Scarves

Thick scarves are so sweet. I like when they are fat, knit, and wrapped around several times.

The girl in this photo is styled perfectly, I love the leather gloves paired with the floral, long sleeved dress and polka dot tights.

More Marloes Horst

Here's the rest of the Blanco Spring 2010 lookbook, just because it's some great inspiration.

Bows Yet Again

Another example of sporting big bows on your tresses. I love this girl's blush shoulder bag; not to mention the architecture of the building in the background. Environment makes up half of the style you wear.

Beach House Wear

This dress makes me think of summer. The free-flowing blue and white dress pinched with the large nude belt is so carefree.

Heels with Socks Continued

More examples of pulling off the trend of heels with socks.

Hint of Cheetah

I've never been too crazy about cheetah print, but I really like it when it is used in small amounts (top: shoes, bottom: scarf) in these looks on Marloes Horst. It really adds playfulness to an outfit.

On another note, I love the black trench paired with the shorts and big bow in the first look and I think the second look is something you can wear on an everyday basis that looks very put together.

Big Blue Bow

Tada! The ultimate accessory to wear that makes anything pop. You could be having the worst day and with a bow like this, look more alluring than anyone in the room.

Wedding Dress Special

Every girl dreams of her wedding. Whether it be decades ahead, or in the upcoming months, we all have an ever-evolving wish list of every detail of our special day (even though many of us have yet to choose our Prince Charming). Here are a few of my favorites over the years:
Now the question is, A-line? Ballgown? Dropped-waist? Lace? The list goes on.

The Holy Grail

Everything matches a Hermes Birkin Bag. The effortlessly chic Birkin Bag is so simple in shape, yet is one of the most valued and treasured fashion accessories to own. Starting at around $5000 US dollars these bags could easily go up to the ten thousands and, unless you are Victoria Beckham, you will sit YEARS on a waiting list to actually buy one. They are beautiful bags and owning one seems like a dream. But, maybe someday...

BTW the Birkin Beckham is is carrying in the last picture is actually diamond encrusted. Ahhh we can only dare to dream...

One Pair, Two Ways

Here are two completely different ways to wear the same exact boots. It's amazing what stylizing can bring to the table.

Parisians always have such a what seems effortless time looking perfectly chic

We Not In Kansas Anymore

I am absolutely in love with how Leighton Meester wore this Louis Vuitton Cruise dress. She looks almost like a modern-day Dorothy by matching the piece with beautifully red mary jane pumps. But, also take a look at how interesting the dress is. The top of the dress is very fitted with the stripes going in many ways, while the bottom creates almost an asymmetrical tier shape. Its beautiful and unique. I've never seen anything like this!

P.S. Must be nice to be a celebrity. Leighton wore this Louis Vuitton piece to the 2009 Teen Choice Awards and the dress is from the 2010 Cruise Collection.

(Sort Of) Tucking In

The slightly higher waist on these shorts looks really crisp and fresh, the longer leg makes it possible to wear short shorts while still looking really put together. Also, pairing it with the cropped top gives an appearance of tucking in without actually tucking in. Plus, the neutrals really compliment each other. I basically like the whole look.

Spring Dress

I love how you could either wear this dress by Reem Arca (spring 2010 rtw) during the day or dress it up with some accessories and heels for night.

Pumping Up the Shorts

I recently came to the realization that people don't amp up their shorts as much as then could. Usually they are just an item that goes with something other piece.  However, I think there is a lot of room for experimentation with different statement shorts. Whether they are high waisted, scalloped, or made with an entirely unique fabric.

P.S. There are those fabu Givenchy Cut Out Booties again.

Next Bikini

In the spirit of asymmetrical things, I love this bathing suit that Jennifer Hawkins wore on the runway at the Myer Fashion Launch. It is completely unlike any bathing suit I've come across before. Sequins, coral and asymmetrics are all good things.

Marie Antoinette

Speaking of Marie Antoinette, I wish I had been able to experience being on the set of the movie recently produced by Sofia Coppola. She was granted access to Versailles  to film the movie. The palate colors in the movie are inspired by macaroons and it is amazing to see all the Monolo Blahniks he designed particularly for the movie.
