Black Wedge Booties

Does it ever happen to you that maybe you notice a piece subconsciously, or make it up in your head but  then you begin an almost endless path to find this item whether or not it exists yet. Well that describes my journey to find the perfect black wedge bootie. Finally after weeks of countless websites and black booties of every kind imaginable I found them. I thought I'd share my discovery with you.
KarmaLoop ironically was the solution to my problems. I always just figured they sold different types of sneakers, shows that you have to get to know something before you can accurately judge it.

These booties go with so many different outfits, they are elegant and playful, moreover they are incredibly comfortable. I recommend them to anyone; even if you may imagine yours with an extra zipper or buckle.

LookBook Loves Jeffrey Campbells

It is impossible to scroll down five pictures on LookBook's "Hot" page and not run into at least one pair of the most popular shoe designer among my demographic at this time. The eleven-year-old LA based company's shoes are not hard to recognize. Most of their shoes include some form of wood, most popularly their clogs.
Like I said LookBook loves Jeffrey Campbells; and so do I.

Here is the pair I'm coveting at the moment:

No Business Like Shoe Business

More shoes to die for; or at least not eat/pay rent for a few months. I see a reoccurring color theme these days. Buying a pair of shoes at this price is the same kind of adrenaline rush I can only imagine people can get from drugs. However, not only are you purchasing the opportunity to wear these on your feet and the reputation that potentially comes with it but each piece is art at it's finest. A combination of color, structure, and comfort working together to trigger people's emotions and confidence. What other type of art can make you actually look sexier?

Nude Heels.

The second I found this photograph my first thought was "Her legs are so long!" It's the shoes, those nude shoes. Other than the fact that her legs are actually really long, those shoes make them that much better. The next item on my scavenger list.

here are some of the other items on that list:
1. Oxfords- So boyish, they make you look extra feminine.
2. A square chiffon scarf like this one by Roberto Cavalli - Tie it in a knot and it will dress up any outfit.
3.  A thin brown belt without holes - It can go around your waist or hips and is a timeless piece.

I probably shouldn't go on... It isn't healthy for my wallet.

Hint of Cheetah

I've never been too crazy about cheetah print, but I really like it when it is used in small amounts (top: shoes, bottom: scarf) in these looks on Marloes Horst. It really adds playfulness to an outfit.

On another note, I love the black trench paired with the shorts and big bow in the first look and I think the second look is something you can wear on an everyday basis that looks very put together.

Spring Dress

I love how you could either wear this dress by Reem Arca (spring 2010 rtw) during the day or dress it up with some accessories and heels for night.

Dior Extreme

I love love love Carrie Bradshaw's Dior Extreme Gladiator Sandals that she wears over and over again in the Sex and the City movie. In fact I just ordered a pair that look almost identical by Michael Antonio.

Inspiration from the Youth

Look at this cute little girl. What a fabulous idea to pair a blue coat with bright red shoes.

Wallpaper Print

This look is very unique; the pattern on her jacket is like a seventies wall paper inspired print. It is contrasted with a more modern, short, yellow, layered skirt. One of the details I pay the most attention to, however, is the neutral color of the shoes. I think it is more popular for people to wear one color and then make a statement with bold shoes but this is the other way around.

Brown and Black

I like that this woman is wearing all black except for her chocolate brown shoes. I think people are often afraid to pair colors brown and black, however, I dont think it is an offense. She looks so cute and (im sure unintentionally) her hair matches her shoes almost exactly.

Celebutante Style

I love Nicole Richie's outfit in this photo. Let me count the ways, first of all I love the Givenchy booties with the cutouts. Some people call them gladiator heels but I don't see it in this style. Second I love the cutoff shorts and loose top. Another thing that stands out to me is the bangles that are both high on her arm and hanging at her wrist; it's slightly more unusual than just one or the other. Finally, who can forget her signature headband that she often has around her forehead. Such a simple but well put together outfit.

Rachel Bilson

Rachel Bilson looks so cute as usual. I love that her over-sized sweater and her black shorts end only an inch short of one another. Moreover, I think the necklace that drops down to the waist of her shorts creates a very great visual effect. Finally, I love that her tan heels are MaryJane inspired.

Accessorize!

You most likely would never wear this much jewelry at once, and I would personally advise against it, but I love that this photo shoot from Harpers Bazaar aligns all different styles (mostly tribal) of bracelets, rings, and more against each other. It really shows a spectrum of options and makes for a fantastic visual.

Liquid Leggings

We were experimenting with liquid leggings the other day trying to find an outfit that would work with them. They are very unique and cute yet because of the former are difficult to pair with other clothing articles. However, I think that Ashley Olsen does a good job wearing them with her lengthy sweater, studded headband and congac heels.

Mixing III

Now I don't know if I'm quite gutsy enough to wear lingerie in public but I really do like that the model is wearing a full black mini skirt under a long button up. It's another example of contrasting styles that fascinates me.

Another Suit

My affinity for advertisements is no secret and this image is one that drew me in immediately. Not only is there a storyline but a suit. A pure white, crisp suit that contrasts with the smog leaving the train and the dreary station. This suit shows off not only the curves but is embellished with ruffles putting it into a particular time period. The flesh booties are another irresistible piece.

White Dress, Black Umbrella

Isn't the contrast in this photo awesome? It looks like a painting. I think the white dress is very cute and neat, it's also paired nicely with the black umbrella and heels.

P.S. the tiny purse is so sweet

Motorcycle Jacket

This whole look works for me, it's just a blend of pieces that I really like. I especially like how she softens up a harsh motorcycle jacket with the soft knits and the side braid. She also doesn't have much jewelry on which is a nice balance considering the number of clothing items.
