A look that is spreading like wildfire among trendsetters are sheer skirts and dresses. I, personally, adore the look. It shows off the length of your legs while adding some vintage class and flair to your outfit. If you're bold enough you can wear these with hot pants underneath or to be a bit more modest you can pair it with a slip or a shorter skirt.

Wallpaper Print
This look is very unique; the pattern on her jacket is like a seventies wall paper inspired print. It is contrasted with a more modern, short, yellow, layered skirt. One of the details I pay the most attention to, however, is the neutral color of the shoes. I think it is more popular for people to wear one color and then make a statement with bold shoes but this is the other way around.

Mixing III
Mixing
Let's ignore the photography/model in this picture and only look at the clothing. I really like the way this girl's outfit merges two completely different styles to form a completely new shade. The studded belt in contrast with the pink frilly skirt really intrigues me; mostly because I can't put my finger on what her personality might be like. I definitely want to experiment with this idea.Wednesday, January 27, 2010

Mixing

This advertisement in Cosmo Magazine had a few pages worth of girls mixing patterns, this one particularly I liked because of the covered shoulders but "baring all" legs. It says on the picture that in order to mix florals and stripes make sure the patterns are similar in size. How chic.
