Tucked In

Seventies

The style in the picture really strikes me. Although it is definitely pulled straight out of the seventies it has an essence about it that is fresh and new. I think it has a lot to do with the minimal makeup on the model and her roots growing out through her wavy hair. A very modest shirt tucked into a floral skirt is not something that is often seen in current street fashion but I definitely think it is an inspiring outfit.

Boy Tanks

One style I keep gravitating towards is these tops that hang way low allowing a glimpse of a sports bra or tighter top underneath. I think this is mainly because it is incredibly casual and comfortable for a warm day but still has more visual elements than a more plain top.
I also am really glad to see not-so-short shorts become more prominent because they give a wider range to undertake.

Boho Chic

I love the lose fitting shirt paired with the khaki shorts and just the perfect amount of jewelry. To top it all off she has some cute braids is her hair. The whole look is very boho and seems very comfortable and easy to pull off. The outfit is Free People and stolen right out of their January catalog.

Here it is:

Finally, I've been staring at this picture all break. What Leighton is wearing is so simple yet airy. I refused to get a fedora before because I felt like it would look like I was trying too hard but I like the way this one feels beachy (I gave in and bought one today.) Moreover I'm kinda into the one shoulder thing, especially when it's as casual as her Pencey One Shoulder Tee. Love Love
White Shirt & Jeans
This is yet another look I love that continues with the comfy but cute theme. The woman in this image (courtesy of The Sartorialist) looks like she took no more than 2 minutes getting ready in the morning and threw on a pair of delicate heels just because she felt like it. It's amazing what a good pair of shoes can do to make an outfit complete. I love the crisp white shirt tucked into the distressed boyfriend jeans. A look I will definitely try to rock once the weather warms up.
