We were debating whether to post all 20+ pictures from the Zara Spring 2010 lookbook that we liked and decided that each one is uniquely inspirational. After all there are so many days to live (and play dress up) so the more pictures the more combinations.
Oh Nine West, you keep getting better and better. I LOVE that these shoes (Val) have the woven detail in the cage look, plus the cut-outs and peep-toe. Oh, and there is a bow in case some of you didn't notice. They are $199, and available for pre-order. And I will personally rob whoever gets it because I don't have the money to get them myself. Alright, I would never do that, but I'd like to think I would for these.
Jimmy Choo's line for H&M. Sigh, if only our H&M carried these items. Ranging $60 - $200 They are still priced fairly high compared to regular shoes but incredibly low for a pair of these pieces of art. The thigh-high boots remind me of ones that Anne Hathway wore in The Devil Wears Prada - the "Chanel Outfit".
Moreover, the build of the shoes are so unique it really isn't too much of a wonder why they have such a steep price range. If I had the means I would snatch at least one pair before they are all gone.
Yellow is so refreshing! Yet, I feel like I rarely see people wearing it. The two looks posted are completely different applications for the color yellow, but both catch my eye. The dress is by Victoria Beckham and I adore it. the neckline is to die for, while the flap along the bottom catches the eye and leaves the whole dress looking interesting. And take a look at the Ready-to-Wear piece from Jason Wu's 2010 collection. It's so applicable to real-life wear. A floral skirt, skinny belt, boyfriend blazer, and the bright yellow shoes to add color to a more muted palate on top. I really want a pair of yellow shoes now...uh-oh...
So recently I have become more aware of the color of cognac leather and I have not found one thing I do not like yet! This leather jacket by Danier is no exception. I could literally pair it with so many thing in my wardrobe while thinking about it mentally.
I don't think it gets much more sophisticated than this. Classic tan trench coats instantly make any outfit being worn on a rainy day stylish. This one is a classic Burberry trench that runs around $2,700. While most of us do not have the wallet to afford an expensive coat like this one, I believe it wise to invest in a tan trench coat if you live somewhere with a rainy or cold season. Consider how long trench coats have been in style. They were actually claimed by Thomas Burberry in 1850 and still, today, we see Emma Watson today looking effortlessly chic is a Burberry trench. They have been in style for 160 years and I think its safe to safe that they will be in style for 160 more.
The second I found this photograph my first thought was "Her legs are so long!" It's the shoes, those nude shoes. Other than the fact that her legs are actually really long, those shoes make them that much better. The next item on my scavenger list.
here are some of the other items on that list:
1. Oxfords- So boyish, they make you look extra feminine.
2. A square chiffon scarf like this one by Roberto Cavalli - Tie it in a knot and it will dress up any outfit.
3. A thin brown belt without holes - It can go around your waist or hips and is a timeless piece.
I probably shouldn't go on... It isn't healthy for my wallet.
Knee high socks are a trend that keeps popping up lately and here are two very different ways that they are styled. The girl on the right is one that was photographed by The Sartorialist a while back. I will always love her outfit.
